The editor should be ashamed. There were paragraphs repeated word-for-word on the same page, and incorrect words as if auto-correct was running the show.Most disappointing was that the answer key was wrong at least 3 times. This is not acceptable when a student is supposed to rely on this as true and accurate information. I verified with my instructor when I started to second-guess myself, and she confirmed the first answer I questioned was incorrect. After that, I didn't waste her time. I just understood that this book was poorly edited and trusted my answers instead.
Please check the edition. Most courses requires the fifth edition that comes with a one time use code. If you guys are serious on HIT or HIM (medical coding) buy it new
I always buy my textbooks from Amazon and return them after I'm done with my class, this will save you so much money on books while in school!
Bought book used, looks brand new, no mark ups. It’s the most recent addition, and the scratch off code on the inside cover is intact! Worth the purchase.
The information in the book is not consistent, and many of the answers in the answer keys are wrong. Being a student, I need to be able to utilize my text book, but instead I am now just confused and stressed out. Even though it's required, I would skip buying the book. Utilize online resources.
This book is awful. It's hard to read and there are a lot of grammatical/editing errors. There has to be a better written book out there for HIT/HIM classes.
I bought this book for my HIM classes, It came in with no problems and it was brand new!
Very Informational book on HIM and all of the aspects of the field, not an easy read or layout, struggled reading this book for class
