About the Author
Nola Heidbreder has been teaching fiber art and handwork for eighteen years from her studio in St. Louis, Missouri, and across the country. She has written articles and projects for Mary Englebreit's Home Companion and Rug Hooking magazine, as well as several books (including Finishing Hooked Rugs (978-1-8819-8299-9) and Knitting Rugs (978-0-8117-1251-4), and has appeared on local and national television news programs. Linda Pietz learned to knit at the age of four and has spent more than forty years passing on her love of knitting and other crafts through classes and workshops. She designs patterns for Bucilla, Dimensions, Cat's Cradle, and other companies, and has been featured in several books, including Gourds + Fiber (978-1-60059-470-0). Linda co-authored Knitting Rugs (978-0-8117-1251-4) and has written articles for Rug Hooking magazine and other national magazines. She lives in northern California.

I can't wait to start knitting several of these rugs! I have a large "craft/design studio" in my home and everything has a knitting theme. Will be making several for that room. One of my favorites is an oval of leaves, it is by far one of the most innovative designs I've seen in a long time. That will go in front of the fireplace. You will not be disappointed! Great for using the cheap acrylic yarns which will take a good amount of wear and tear.
This incredible book has something for everyone! There are some rugs that are traditional and remind me of vintage rugs and others that are free form and wildly creative. Whether you are a novice or master knitter, you will find something that you just gotta make! The colorful photos and clear instructions make this a must have for all skill levels. I LOVE THIS BOOK!
